Prayer 24-7
|

![]() |
What is Prayer 24-7? 'One hour in the prayer room felt like 10 minutes - before, 10 minutes felt like one hour'. In these rooms you can be still, write poems of worship, draw, watch or sing whilst focusing on the presence of God. Other churches have prayed 24-7 for 1 day, a weekend, a week, a month and even longer! I believe we could start with 24 hours. That would be 24 people or more (if in pair) whose prayer and lives would be changed both individually and together with the other 23! Amen. ...............................................................................................................................
I wrote these words as part of the book review through "the link" earlier on this year. Well, we now have the 24 hour slot booked firmly in the church diary and the calendar is live on our web site for you to book your slot. We are stepping out in faith from 9am Saturday July 5th to 9am Sunday July 6th. We are inviting our Sunday evening service partners, Trinity and the URC to join us and our own youth group have already booked a two hour slot on the saturday evening between 7:00 - 9:00 pm leaving only twenty two more hours to go!
We are transforming the 'creation' room off the lounge into a prayer zone, which for the foreseeable future will remain permanent. There will be zones within the room to inspire and stimulate your time in the presence of God so your hour will seem like ten minutes. Here is your opportunity to step out in faith in prayer for our churches, our community and our world. Book early for a day time hour or if you are a poor sleeper, come during the early hours. There will be at least three other people on duty letting 'prayers' in and out during the day and night for your peace of mind. So come and be part of a spiritual momentum generated by many hours of unbroken prayer. Enable the Holy Spirit to fill the places we pray as well as His people. Mirror Jesus as intercessors to the Father. By Judith Mayer
